gratitude sunday

Playing a little catch up here...

the fearsome dragon and ferocious tiger take a mid trick or treat snack

This Sunday I am grateful for the "Halloween Hobgoblin" that took the kids' candy and left gifts for them to find the next morning.  I stole the idea from a friend of mine and instituted it last year.  Getting the candy out of the house is such a piece of cake, and whipping up a little something for the kids is fun.

I'm grateful too for the fall notebook I started for myself a few weeks back to keep all the birthdays and holidays in this season manageable.  Because of my written down schedule, I finished Scarlette's birthday wings before the sewing machine broke and had to go to the shop.

And I'm especially grateful for the surprising ease of this weekend.  It's a good reminder that keeping things simple is often the right choice.
