Knitting needle point protectors

I'm always putting my knitting down in the middle of a row (chasing babies and dogs and the like), and I got tired of stitches slipping off the needles. So I took a wine cork that was floating around the kitchen, cut it in two, and used a meat fork tine to make a hole in the center of it.

Now I have a cheap, quickly made pair of point protectors I can pop on the ends of my needles whenever I need to.

Here's to one more reason to drink wine ;)

Karrin, Amy, thanks for stopping by. I use my point protectors all the time so I'm glad my tip can help you out.
